Weekly training recap: CIM Week 16 (Race Week!)

Race week! Also, taper week 2.

Mon: Rest.

Tues: Nice and easy. No aches or pains!
Stats: 3.3 miles @ 10:33/mile

Wed: Was debating between rest and easy cross-training. Went with rest — decided to hang out with a good friend instead of going to the gym.

Thurs: Great, easy run with KH at a conversational pace. Tried out my new homemade arm warmers – they worked like a charm. Time and distance approximate due to my Garmin going crazy off the map.
Stats: 3.3 miles @ 10:36/mile

Fri: Decided to do a quick run in the rain to get used to it, since that was the forecast for CIM.
Stats: ~1.5 miles @ ?? (no Garmin)

Sat: Rest. Carb-loaded and drove out to Sacramento for the expo. Then carb-loaded some more. 🙂

Sun: CIM! Recap coming soon – tomorrow, hopefully.
Stats: 26.28 miles @ 10:22/mile (Garmin); unofficial results: 4:32:40 (10:24 pace)

WEEKLY TOTAL: Target 34 miles/ Actual 34.4 miles, no cross training.
